
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player, is a striker with San Diego Wave FC (NWSL), which is the top division of women's soccer in the United States. She also co-captained the United States women's soccer team between 2018 and 2020 with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][99 Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at the top of the list in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley early. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. She made her debut at the club and helped the team win the league championship. Morgan was 22, at the time, was the youngest player on the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team finished as runners-up. In the 2012 London Olympics Morgan scored the winning goal in the 123rd minute of the semi-final match against Canada. The 2012 season ended with 28 goalsand 21 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman to score both 20 and 20 goals. This made her the 6th-youngest U.S. player ever to score 20 goals in a single season. Morgan was later named U.S. Soccer Female Athlete Of The Year and was a FIFA World Player of the Year finalist. Morgan was also integral in the United States winning their titles during the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups and 2019. Morgan was selected to both the Dream Team and won the Silver Boot in 2019.
