Carrie-Anne Moss

CarrieCarrie-Anne Moss was born August 21, 1967 [1] and is a Canadian actor. She rose to fame for her role as Trinity in The Matrix (1999-present) after performing a number of characters on television. Memento (2000) brought her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Male Supporting Role, Red Planet (2000), Chocolat (2000) and Fido (2006). Snow Cake (2006) was awarded the Genie Award as Best Performance by an Actress In a Supporting Part. Jessica Jones (2015), 2015-2019) and Unthinkable (2010) were among her television roles. While living in Spain, Moss obtained a part as Tara Clerk to Judge Nicholas Marshall in the drama series Dark Justice, her first television appearance. In 1992, she relocated with the show from Barcelona to Los Angeles. Moss was sacked from Dark Justice before the series was in its third season and the final one and was replaced by Elisa Heinsohn in the role of Samantha "Sam" Collins. When she returned to the US, she was enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts Pasadena. She was a model and starred in Models Inc., a Fox primetime soap show. The series was cancelled in July 1995. She headlined a short-lived made-in-Canada series entitled Matrix. Through the 1990s she played an actor on several television series such as Street Justice and Baywatch. She also appeared in F/X: The Series and Due South. Due South earned her a nomination in the Gemini Award for Best Guest Artist in a Drama. The film roles she played included numerous B films like Flashfire (1994), The Soft Kill (94), Tough Guy (94), Lethal Tender (1996), Sabotage (191996) and The Secret Life of Algernon (1997).
