Kate Hudson, an outstanding actor well-known for her role in the Hollywood film Almost Famous. It brought her an Academy Award nomination. She was born into a lineage of movie stars and seemed to have a natural flair for the limelight. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, is an actor with a lot of fame, and her father, Bill Hudson, is comedian. She was passionate about performing from a young age and would jump at the chance to sing and dance on stage. She was taught to dance by her parents and also received ballet classes at the Santa Monica Playhouse when she was a little girl. In 1996, she got an appearance as a guest on the TV drama Party of Five. She was accepted into New York University, however, Kate Hudson was more interested in pursuing a career in show business rather than earning an education. After performing in minor films her audition was for the part that would turn into an important part of her career. She was selected to portray Penny Lane in the comedy drama film Almost Famous. The film didn't do very well in terms of box office revenue however it received good reviews from critics. It established Kate as an actor within the American film industry.
