Tulloch is a Californian born actress who grew throughout Spain Uruguay, Argentina and San Diego. Tulloch's nickname Bitsie is not a contraction of her real name Elizabeth, but rather it's a nod to her grandfather who was a bizarrely named World War II Bomber Pilot and was involved in 1961 Goldsboro B52 crash. Tulloch received the nickname Bitsie when she began acting. It was her name until the year 2017, after which she changed to Elizabeth. When I first meet people, I introduce myself to them using Bitsie. I liked the name as I started acting during my early 20s. Now I am in the mid-30s, and it seemed that for the sake of billing, I wanted to go back to Elizabeth. It was actually not an idea I'd ever thought of. Producers were like Hey we noticed its Elizabeth when we were filling the legal forms. Would you be happy with this type of billing? When I sat down to think about it I contacted my agent and my manager. Both said yes. It's true that you have grown older. And Bitsie is clearly a sort of adorable name. The name is adorable. That's all there was to it. This isn't like introducing myself as Elizabeth right now. It's just for future billing. Tulloch possesses both Scottish and Spanish roots. Tulloch claims her birthplace was in Spain although it's not her mother tongue. Her paternal grandmothers family is of Renfrewshire as is her grandfather's family. Both came from the region around Kirkwall both in Scotland. In an interview that she gave with BBC News, we believe that the Tulloch family first came to America sometime around the year 1880. The Kerrs followed in early 1900. Following her return back to U.S. she went to middle and high school at Bedford New York. Tulloch completed her magna cum laude at Harvard University with a double major in English as well as American Literature and Visual and Environmental Studies.
