Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is an American author of cookery books and Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa which began broadcasting in 2002 has 27 seasons until 2020. Ina began her writing career by creating nuclear energy policies as well as budgets for the White House. While she found it interesting initially, she eventually dropped interest and decided to purchase a smaller specialty food store - Barefoot Contessa. It took her nearly 18 years to make her shop wildly successful, before she decided to sell the business. Then she began writing one of her cookbooks. Numerous other books as well as newspaper articles were published. Her Food Network TV show also debuted which was an enormous success. The company also offers a wide range of product from cooking ingredients to equipment and storage containers. Ina never went to any cookery schools nor was she employed at a restaurant. She is entirely self-taught. She is a simple cook and for her entertaining manner. She is well-known for her quick and easy recipes, such as Skillet Roasted Lemon Chicken Macaroni and Cheese made with beef Bourguignon, and balsamic-roasted Brussels Sprouts.
